History
Don Bosco School, was opened on 19th March 1985 and was looked after by Fr. Vadakethannikal Sebastian, the Provincial Economer. InJune Fr. Mathew Pottukulam was put in charge of the school. In the beginning school was conducted in a thatched shed with 14 students. The first batch of students appeared for matriculation examinations in 1993.
A new venture began at Don Bosco School when on 24th July 1991 Don Bosco Youth centre was opened. The newly built Confrères’ Residence was blessed on 12th April 1992. Don Bosco School, Dimapur was upgraded to Higher Secondary in 2001.
Today
In 2007 there are 65 staff and 2160 students in the school. The school is well set up with the required infrastructure.
