DBC Kohima conducts Vermin Composit practical session

A Training programme on Vermin composit was conducted for the students of Don Bosco College, Kohima  on 18th October 2021. Around 60 students participated in it. By this students were given a practical expertise as to prepare eco-friendly Bio manure for the household and farm cultivation. The students were thoroughly satisfied with the practical session on Vermin composit. The programme lasted entire morning session. The chief organizer of the programme was Mrs. Vero Zavelu, the dean of Student affairs. The meaningful session came to an end with a sumptous tea. The students left the campus with the lingering memories of a soulful day in learning the practical lessons on vermin composit on their sleeves.

FMA Congregation elects New Mother General

The  Daughters of Mary Help of Christians have elected their new Mother General Very. Rev. Sr. Chiara Cazuola  FMA.  Previously she was the vicar general of the congregation. Present on the occasion, Very Rev. Fr. Angel  Fernandez Artime sdb, the Rector Major of the SDB congregation and Very. Rev. Fr. Pascual chavez sdb, the former Rector Major of Salesian Congregation.

General Chapter XXIV begins at the FMA Generalate in Rome on 11 September 2021 and ends on 24 October 2021.


Rome (Italy). We are close to the beginning of  General Chapter XXIV , an important event for every Daughter of Mary Help of Christians, Educating Community, and the Salesian Family in the world.

General Chapter XXIV begins at  the FMA Generalate in Rome on 11 September 2021 and ends on 24 October 2021. The General Chapter is a «key moment for evaluation, reflection, and guidance in a common  search for God’s will» (135). All the FMA, Educating Communities, lay people, and young people of the Salesian Family collaborate in the Chapter experience with a participation in prayer, study, and proposals. The purpose of the General Chapter is to deal with topics relevant to the mission of the Institute «in order to be an ever-more efficacious presence in the Church and in the world» (136).

The theme of GC XXIV: “Do whatever he tells you” (Jn 2:5). Communities that generate life in the heart of contemporaneity”, makes explicit the objective that the FMA Institute proposes: To re-awaken the original freshness of the vocational fruitfulness of the FMA Institute. On the institutional channels, the experience of the XXIV General Chapter celebrated in the heart of contemporaneity and lived in communion with all its interlocutors will be told.
