Value Based Life

29 June 2021: Fr Jose Kuruvachira SDB, Provincial of Salesian Province of Dimapur released “Value Based Life” a series of 10 books authored by Fr Devassy Palatty at Don Bosco Provincial House, Dimapur. While introducing the books, he said that it is a very practical set of text book for Value Education (Moral Science) for classes 1 to 10. It is published by Pigeon Publications, Delhi.
It was held in a simple function organized at Don Bosco Provincial house as a conclusion to the provincial council meeting on the solemnity of saints Peter and Paul. A copy was presented to Fr. Thazekaden Sebastian a veteran in the field of education who has also authored a set of GK books some years ago.
The topics dealt with are relevant and appropriate for the youth in contemporary context. The content is consciously chosen and well presented. Value education contributes much towards character development and formation of conscience.
The timing of the release of this series of books is apt as value education is something that education needs to focus for social transformation. He congratulated Fr Devassy Palatty for his hard work in authoring this set of value education books as great contribution to education. He has recommended the books as moral science textbooks in all the schools in the province.
Fr Jose Kuruvachira said that it is not easy to write a set of books like this. It takes a lot of courage and commitment to bring to conclusion a big work like this. It is also a way of evangelization by communicating values to the student community through our schools.
